Two International artists:

Sculptor Ahmet Nuray and painter Ufuk Kobaş Ahmet Nuray has an interesting personality.The young artist born in İstanbul, immigrated to the USA with his family when he was very young. He was brough and trained there. His family is originally Aegean and employed with carving in Stone Consequently, his ability İs hereditary years later ,as a successful artist in San Francisco,San Diego, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara ,Ahmet Nuray decided to explore Europe when one of his piece of work was appropriated to the collection of White House setting up his workshop in a farm house in Lozan and having over 80 exhibition up to now, Nuray met Nahit Kabakçı who advised him to stage an exhibition in İstanbul.Not to be willing to do this because of his worries related to the sales, the manager of Ramko Art Gallery forced him and paid him the price of his 10 pieces of work in cash.These days his sculptures are on exhibition.In addition to his ability and mastery one can easily realize his superiority in stilization.He’s been known to have piece of Works which are in huge sizes such as his latest piece of work which is about women rights and shown in all capitals in the world in fact, his piece of Works are originated from figurative elements.How ever, they are characterized in such a way that it becomes peculiar to him.Gradually,it is even expressed with the attributes of an abstract narrator. What I desire best is that Turkish sculptors begin to benefit from the opportunities of the artist.

Pedagogue Sculptor Ahmet Nuray putting on over 20 individual exhibition in the USA is for the first time in İstanbul…A fine example of Ahmet Nuray’s latest Works is a sculpture at a height of 3 meters and 60 cm and made of a lime tree which is 260 years old it weighs 1,5 tonnes. Nuray addresses women rights wiht this sculpture.Ahmet Nuray being famous in the USA, has been living in Switzerland for four years .Nuray, whose granddad and father was a carver , studied pedagogy in the USA. İt’s the first time that he’s exhibited his Works at Ramko Art Gallery.The pieces of a very fine Turkish sculptor will be exhibited in Ramko Art Gallery from March 31 to April 20.Ahmet Nuray is to exhibit his works in Turkey for the first time. 15 years ago he moved to the USA.There being very famaus in California gave him the right to use stones such as turqoise, yılantaşı and jade unconditionally.The artist,who has the ability in carving all the materials and makes use of alabaster, marble,jade,wood,clayey,soil,and metals,has been living in Switzerland since 1985.Ahmet Nuray having lots of special collections in exactly 20 private museum and galleries in Switzerland incorparates his studies in the field of pedagogy with his art. Being both a pedagogue and having a collection of his own studies in the field of pedagogy, Nuray is mentioned in Switzerland media as it follows.‘His idea of art is not also life but also sharing. His pieces of work aren’t for decorating but for realizing and touching .Thus, the marble will come to life and whisper its secret.The artist is mostly deals with in many of his pieces of work.One of his sculpture was appropriated to White House by Mrs.Reagan.Having a workshop in Tarabya ,Nuray will spend a great deal of his time in Turkey.His ambition is to work for the benefit of Turkish children and to be able to give them free sculpture courses.
